Last week KTM boss and Pankl owner Stefan Pierer celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for a 15 million euro learning center in Kapfenberg in Upper Styria. The “Krone” spoke about the current situation in the economy and politics – and divided harshly against the Greens.
“crown”: Mr. Pierer, how blatant is the current shortage of skilled labor from your point of view?
Stephen Pierer: We are not talking about a shortage of skilled labour, but a shortage of labor across the board. This starts with simple tasks and progresses to the top functions. The recruitment problem is the most challenging for the companies in Europe. You are in competition. You have to offer attractive framework conditions and be a great company to get the employees.
