Vacation in Van and Co. – That costs one night at the campsite

Date:

Whether in a converted van, in a caravan or in a classic tent – camping is booming. Instead of checking into a hotel or holiday home, many holidaymakers spend the night at the campsite. Camping is also becoming increasingly popular in Lower Austria. The “Krone” has looked at how much you have to pay this year for an overnight stay in Lower Austria, in the other federal states and in other European countries.

In 2022 there were 7,853,302 overnight stays at Austrian campsites. This results in an increase of about 23 percent. Austria has also grown in terms of locations. In 2010 there were still 553 campsites, in 2022 there will already be 662. Compared to last year, camping prices have risen by almost three percent and even in a European comparison, the campsites in Austria are in the higher price range. This is the result of the camping portal camping.info.
