Photovoltaic Financing – all pent up applications processed

Date:

In the second funding round, the Ministry of Climate Approved nearly 38,400 applications for solar funding. Most of these (30,000) are in private households. In addition, all pent-up requests have now been processed, the company said.

In the second round of funding since June 14, about 30,000 private households have applied for federal solar funding. This means smaller roof systems with a capacity of up to 20 kilowatts. The approved applications for private users correspond to an electricity production of approximately 280,000 megawatt hours per year, which corresponds to an average consumption of 60,000 households.

Companies usually claim larger benefits than individuals. 8400 applications were approved in this category. “I am very pleased that we can also fund all applications for private roof systems in the second round. So this year we are heading for another all-time record in the expansion of solar power plants,” said Minister of Climate Protection Leonore Gewessler (Greens) in a broadcast.

New call for applications from 23 August
In the first funding round, with 90,000 applications for private roof systems, there was even a backlog, which Gewessler says has now been cleared. In total, the federal government is earmarking more than 600 million euros this year for the promotion of photovoltaic systems. The next tender for smaller roof systems will start on August 23. More power has now been built in the past three years than in all previous years, according to the Ministry of Climate Protection.
