This means that the company’s founder, Amancio Ortega, is putting in around €859 million this Monday, half of what he will receive in dividends from the company this year. For its part, Sandra Ortega, who owns 5.053% of the Galician company, will collect more than EUR 146 million in dividends from Inditex this year, half of which will also be paid on Monday.
Another Capricorn heavyweight, Banco Santander, is also today rewarding its shareholders with a total of EUR 900 million with a gross coupon of EUR 0.0515 per share, which will take effect on May 2.
