Presented in Munich – start of the season! KitzSki invested 23 million euros

Date:

Next weekend is the start of the winter season in the KitzSki ski area; the successful company has invested around 23 million euros. The official presentation took place on Thursday at the Allianz Arena in Munich. In addition to two new elevator systems, the board of directors has come up with even more innovations; You can see and hear all the details in the three videos.

It is one of the flagship ski areas in Tyrol. The total of 233 kilometers of slopes and 57 lifts are of the highest quality. It is therefore no wonder that Anton Bodner, CEO of Bergbahn Kitzbühel, and his management colleague Christian Wörister also came up with a special location for the start of the winter press conference: the press club of the Allianz Arena, the home stadium of record football champions. FC Bayern Munich!

They presented innovations to countless journalists. “We are well prepared. Our employees have put their heads together for months to be able to offer innovations this year,” Bodner emphasizes.

“Camera monitors crowds at lifts”
The ‘heart’ are two new lifts: F6 Gauxjoch and F7 Trattenbach, at a cost of 23 million euros. “In addition to a transport capacity of 2,400 people per hour, the railway has much more to offer,” the CEO arouses curiosity.

Martin Leitner, CEO of Leitner AG, explains: “We have a direct drive that is very quiet. A camera monitors the crowds at the facilities. This means: If fewer skiers use the lifts, the speed is automatically reduced. As soon as a passenger reports to the barrier, we increase the seat heating on that seat. And we have very special solar panels.”

“We are the only ski area that is starting this this year”
Another new feature is that the mobile phone ticket has been extended to the entire ski area. If you want to avoid queues at the ticket office, you can easily buy your ski ticket via your mobile phone. “Our 96 readers accept approximately 1200 (!) different types of mobile phones. We are the only ski area in the Alpine region to start with this ticket this year,” emphasizes Wörister. If your mobile phone battery runs out or you can’t stand the cold, you can still enjoy your skiing experience: “We have mobile phone charging points everywhere and can hand out tickets at any time in the ski area.”

Special offers for 46 euros
Environmentally friendly mobility offers – such as the KitzSki Xpress from Munich to Gamsstadt and collaborations with the DB and ÖBB – and extended opening hours in the morning and afternoon round off the offer. And the ticket prices? Wörister: “In addition to the savings season, we offer a discount and premium season and special offers for 46 euros in the high season.” About 10,000 season tickets have already been sold.
