The leading companies in Upper Austria waste no time when it comes to filling vacant board positions. After Voestalpine appointed AMAG boss Gerald Mayer as CFO from April, the aluminum producer from Ranshofen has now also clarified the boss question.
On October 25, it was announced that Gerald Mayer would leave as boss at AMAG at the end of this year. On November 3, it became official that the Mühlviertel native would become the new CFO at Voestalpine and take up his position here in April 2024. And just 19 days later it is also clear who will succeed Mayer in the director’s chair of the aluminum producer.
With Helmut Kaufmann, the former Chief Technology Officer will now also take over the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and will fulfill a dual role from January. For the first time, a woman will join Ranshofener’s board of directors: Claudia Trampitsch will become CFO. The 46-year-old lawyer, tax advisor and accountant has been head of group accounting at AMAG since 2015 and was also appointed commercial director of AMAG metal GmbH in 2018.
Voestalpine recently also included a woman on its board for the first time: Carola Richter will take over the management of the group’s Metal Forming Division, based in Linz, from April 2024.
