It all started with an article in the daily press, then an art project followed – and now the hookah from Gmundner Keramik is becoming a reality. The traditional company now produces the bongs in three versions. Personalization is also possible.
When you hear Gmundner Keramik, you think of the flamed green tableware, which can still be found in many cupboards and is also used on special days. For some people it is indispensable anyway and is still used daily.
Now the Geflammt series is being expanded with a piece that is causing a lot of fuss: a bong. The artisanal company produces the water pipes, for which its own molds have been developed, in three different designs: flamed green, with scattered flowers and rainbow decor.
“Nobody expected us to pull this off.”
“We are constantly receiving orders,” says Beate Bammer from Gmundner Keramik’s marketing department. She knows: “No one expected that we would pull this off and actually produce the bongs. But we are a ceramics manufacturer and we like to show what we can do.”
The bong comes with a glass insert and is functional. Personalization and custom products are possible.
