In 2005, Küchen was sold to the Swedish Nobia Group. 19 years later, the traditional brand from Wels (Upper Austria), which employs 320 people, returns home and has Austrian owners again.
“Every ewe is a thoroughly Austrian cuisine – and has been since 1967,” says the website of the company from Wels (Upper Austria).
The traditional brand will soon be completely red-white-red again: after ewe, including the FM and Intuo brands, had been owned by the Swedish Nobia Group since 2005, Industrieimmobilienverwaltung AG (Turnauer family), the holding company of Franz Mayr, is now taking over -Melnhof-Saurau and the management around director Andreas Hirsch all shares.
“This means long-term and sustainable thinking towards stability and continuity for all customers and partners,” says Hirsch. Dan Küchen from Linz only went in the opposite direction in the autumn of 2023 and is now part of Ballingslöv International.
