From July 1, ex-Lenzing boss Doboczky will become the new Borealis boss

OMV’s chemical subsidiary Borealis will have a new boss from July 1: former Lenzing CEO Stefan Doboczky will take over the role from Thomas Gangl. Doboczky served as Chairman of the Upper Austrian Board of Directors from 2015 to 2021. fiber manufacturer Lenzing. Former Lenzing CEO Stefan Doboczky will become the new boss of OMV’s chemical subsidiary Borealis. OMV announced this on Wednesday. Doboczky will take over the position from July 1. His predecessor, Thomas Gangl, will head the European activities of the British-Indian steel company Liberty Steel from mid-year.

Doboczky was CEO of the Upper Austrian fiber manufacturer Lenzing from 2015 to 2021. Since 2019, he has also been on the supervisory board of OMV, but has resigned in favor of the position of CEO at Borealis.
