The Austrian Economic Association (ÖWB), the Social Democratic Business Association (SWV), the List of Industry, the Free Economy (FW), the Green Economy, the UN and the List of Trade and Industry appeal to the federal government and the Austrian Parliament to take “temporary immediate measures to address the immediate labor shortage in tourism for the 2022 summer season”.
The application was sent to the federal government and parliament today.
WKÖ President Harald Mahrer: “The fact that this application was adopted by the parliamentary groups without a single vote against is a strong signal and underlines the importance and urgency of the subject. The shortage of labor is now an existential problem for domestic tourist businesses, which has been exacerbated by Corona.”
