The thermal baths of Austria registered around 8.6 million guests in 2024, an increase of 1.4 percent compared to 2023. Compared to the record year 2019- Market researchers industry calculated Friday.
With the exception of Lower Austria and Vienna, more guests were registered everywhere in 2024. The strongest growth was in Tyrol, followed by upper Austria and Styria.
Of the 38 locations that were opened in 2019, or according to the industrial radar, only ten surpassed the number of visitors from 2019, three of them in Styria and Upper Austria, two in Burgenland and one in Lower Austria and Tyrol. Thermenland number 1 was still styria.

“Last year, growth impulses undoubtedly caused the uncontrolled desire to travel to domestic and foreign guests. On the other hand, there were long heat periods in some places, which in particular were damaged thermal baths and brine baths without extensive outdoor facilities, ”said industrial bicycle boss Andreas Kreutzer in a broadcast.
