Inflation in the euro currency must be 2.4 percent in February. This announced Eurostat on Monday. For Austria, inflation was given at 3.5 percent. It is therefore above the average value of the eurozone.
Austria statistics, on the other hand, adopt 3.3 percent. The lowest annual rates estimated Eurostat for France (0.9 percent), Ireland (1.3 percent) and Finland (1.5 percent). On the other hand, Estonia (five percent), Croatia (4.7 percent) and Belgium (4.4 percent) have the highest inflation. Germany’s rate must remain the same with 2.8 percent as in January.
Services and inflation of food drive
In February, services, food, alcohol and tobacco, as well as industrial goods without energy, must be responsible for inflation in the Euro area. Energy prices increased less than in January by 0.2 percent.
Eurostat assumes that the European Central Bank (ECB) will use the somewhat recovering inflation percentage as an argument to lower interest rates. With 2.4 percent, the goal of one percentage of less than two percent is closer than the previous one. The Deposit rate is important for both banks and savers and savers. The ECB decision is expected on Thursday.
