“Krone”: The Spö Vienna has presented a job offensive “18 plus” in which companies receive financial incentives when they hire young people who have long been unemployed. Many companies cannot find students nowadays, because young people often do not meet the requirements. How should unemployed young people fulfill them in the long term? Is the project doomed to fail from the start?
Winfried Göschl: There is the problem in Vienna that the curriculum is generally scarce, especially with regard to young people. We therefore try to motivate companies to train students. For those young people who do not stay on the company market of the company, the Intercompany training that also leads to a complete internship. Until recently, our funds were shortened, so that the city of Vienna has now made money available in consultation with us.
