Another setback for the already battered e-mobility industry: the Upper Austrian team 2000-service GmbH, based in Haid/Ansfelden, had to apply for bankruptcy. Although the market was considered a lot of the future a few years ago, the mood is becoming more and more cooling.
Today, Thursday, the bankruptcy procedures were opened via the assets of Team 2000 Service GmbH, based in Haid at the Linz Regional Court. The company, which has specialized in direct import and the treatise of electric vehicles from China in recent years, is no longer able to maintain current business activities.
According to the bankruptcy application, the obligations are approximately 770,000 euros, which is assumed in the form of a supply of Electro KFZ with a purchase value of round 403,000 euros – opposite. 44 creditors and six employees are affected.
Focus on Chinese e-models
The company was founded in 2002, originally a staff leasing company. It was only later that the strategic rotation took place in the car trade, especially with a focus on Chinese electric models-a growing trend in recent years, which, however, has lost the dynamics due to legal changes and market errors.
Losses since 2023
“Losses have been generated annually since 2023,” says the bankruptcy application. The decisive factor for the insolvency that has now occurred is the full loss of e-mobility promotion, which led to a drastic slump of demand. The management does not see a positive continuation forecast and has therefore approved the closure of the company.
