Is the trend removal done? After the net result of the Polytec group was negative in several quarters, the plastic processor led by Markus Huemer returned to the profit zone in early 2025. The unstable demand situation in the car industry continues to demand enormously.
Three weeks ago, the Polytec group had submitted its balance before 2024 and looking back on a real roller coaster ride. Although there was good development until the year of the year, the months later remained below expectations. The reason was short -term reductions in the call quantities, it was known.
Result after taxes at a million euros
The start of the new financial year was successful in the plastic processor. The company led by Markus Huemer based in Hörsching (Upper Austria) In the first quarter of 2025, the turnover plus placed from just under nine million euros to a total of 181.4 million euros. The result after taxes amounted to a million euros. Means: For the first time after several quarters, the net result was positive again.
An important step that confirms the recorded path. The company has started measures to increase operational efficiency long ago – these already show improvements and should be fully effective during the year. The uncertainties in the car industry are still being challenged: the demand fluctuates, the transformation into e-mobility has stalled.
“In the past we have already proven that we can respond flexibly and quickly to changes in our environment and that we have also stood what we have been for since our base: innovation and quality at the highest level,” Huemer recently showed self -confident.
Minus 6.9 million euros in the previous year
In the last financial year, the Polytec made the turnover of EUR 677.8 million, the result after taxes were negative, was minus 6.9 million euros.
