The first quarter of the 2025/26 financial year was in the turnover and the result of the figures for the previous year, and Calm also returned after the turbulence of the past weeks. “The energy comes back to the organization,” says Florian Teufelberger. After the renovated renovation of the packaging tires, the view was turned back to the front.
There were cuts on the staff in the fall of the previous year, and a bankruptcy application had to be made at the beginning of January for the packaging tires, which also made it an exemption from wages and salary. The renovation procedure has been canceled for almost two weeks, the view of Teufelberger has long been aimed forward.
There are clear growth plans for the areas of fiber and steel ropes, and the packaging tires are about increasing income. Georg Issue, who acted as Chief Operating Officer since May, is also being respected more and more. “We have to make sure we do the right things, but we have to do things well,” says Boss Florian Teufelberger as a motto.
The inexplicable and constantly changing customs situation in the US is paralyzed. “America pressed the pause button,” says Teufelberger. The existing things will continue, but the American companies are hesitated for potential new customers and new orders because the Framework conditions are unclear.
The family business presses the pace of Wels in terms of innovations. In the case of fiber buildings, for example, innovations are worked for security systems that are held in wind turbines, for example, to create even more space to bring more people to safety in the event.
Moreover, the Welsers help to make cable cars quieter. “This is a problem, especially with City Rope Railways,” says Issue. The heads smoked for about three years to reduce noise development in steel cables in this application – fewer vibrations are the key here. Now there are already the first use, such as in Las Vegas or in a nature reserve in Italy.
