Turnaround – Blum increases sales to around 2.4 billion euros

Date:

After two financial years with slight falls, the Vorarlberg Rescue manufacturer Blum reaches the Ommeer and generated the turnover of 2.44 billion euros from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025. This corresponds to the growth of 144 million euros or 6.3 percent compared to the previous year.

“There are specific two factors that have had a positive effect on our sales,” says Philipp Blum, director of the Forarlberg Family Company. On the one hand, a trend removal was reached and the sales quantities of all product groups have been increased in the past twelve months. On the other hand, the subsidiary “Van Houecke” is integrated into sale for the first time. The Belgian producer of furniture components has been part of the Blum Group since 1 July 2024 and serves the markets of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

“Our international presence with 34 subsidiaries who act near our customers and know that their needs are an essential factor of success,” added the second director Martin Blum. Various developments can be compensated worldwide. Although it is in many markets, there are still numerous challenges.

The developments in the United States, Eastern Europe and the Asian-Pacific room are positive, in Western Europe the stair specialist sees stabilization, but the situation in China remains tense, for example. “Customs and other protectionist measures damage the long -term power to innovate and the worldwide competitiveness. In this respect, stable framework conditions and soon to clarify trade conflicts would be important for us, but also for the world economy.”

The turnover of a proud 2.44 billion euros was in the closed financial year 2024/25 to Europe to Europe, distributed to Europe, 15 percent to the US and 40 percent to the rest of the world.

Further high costs for staff and raw materials
“Given a still unsafe, volatile and conflicting world, we are satisfied with the completed financial year,” says Philipp Blum. At the same time, he refers to factors that cannot be influenced: “However, the positive development should not derive from the fact that we are dealing with some challenges – especially the rapidly rising costs for raw materials or staff.”
