Always warm, intelligent and very good people
This has been a full-fledged end of the cycle: Ana Blanco leaves the ‘Telediario’. There have been three decades, under both the PP and PSOE governments, in which Ana, uncombustible, was the face of the ‘Telediario’ on TVE1. And while there are still a few days to go before the arrival of the meteorological fall, television has arrived with a vengeance.
The beginnings of Ana Blanco, like so many television professionals, are on radio, in Los 40 Principales and the extinct Radio 16, in the 1980s. In this she coincided with the other Ana on television, Ana Rosa Quintana, who was one of the “Inter girls”, although her story is a different one, with more shadows than lights.
Blanco ended up on television with Agustín Bravo in ‘Zap Zap, the guide’, a show program. It was broadcast first on Canal Sur and then on Telemadrid, when the Madrid channel took its first steps with Pedro Erquicia and Fermín Bocos at the helm, with more than brilliant results.
If you allow me a personal appreciation, I had the pleasure of working with Ana at the time, always warm, intelligent and very good people. An unforgettable memory. It was in September 1990 when he joined the TVE news and has been there for over 30 years, fireproof, without a single flaw, perfect, despite the different news managers he had. She is the one who told us what has happened in Spain and in the world in recent decades. Always in a friendly way. A professional like the top of a pine tree, who is sure to do well regardless of her new career.
Another thing is how the ‘Telediario’ is, below historical lows. TVE is urgently looking for a replacement that not only performs well, but is also credible. They have it very complicated.
