Paco Candela sings the songs from ‘Paseo por lo eterno’ in El Batel

Date:

The Sevillian artist will perform in Cartagena in February, where he will pay tribute to the songs he listened to as a young man

On February 5, the El Batel Auditorium will receive Paco Candela (Seville, 1971). The cantaor will perform for the public in Cartagena at 7:30 pm to present his new work ‘Paseo por lo eterno’, a review of mythical songs from the popular and flamenco imagination.

The artist is considered one of the best flamenco voices in the country, recognized with a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Flamenco Album for ‘Alma de pura raza’, his previous work, which came out in June 2020. This work collects the hits of songs like “My Dear Teacher,” a tribute to parents; ‘I am costalero’, a march he published in the Holy Week of this very special year; ‘The Queen of Heaven’ coincides with El Rocío; and ‘Mirarte a la cara’, one of the most listened songs of the year.

After fourteen studio albums [entre ellos: ‘Mi mundo’, ‘Directo al corazón’, ‘Siéntate a mi vera’, ‘Gitana no llores’, ‘Recuerdo de Sevilla’, ‘Nadie me va cambiar’, ‘Mis cuatro rosas’, ‘Marcando el paso’, ‘Las cosas claras’, ‘Escucha mi corazón’ y ‘El calor de mis gentes’], Candela has received numerous awards and recognitions. After managing to be one of the most contracted artists and placing his records among bestsellers, Candela begins a new phase in his career with his own record label ‘Candelarte Records’.

His new production, ‘Paseo por lo eterno’, is an album with covers of fourteen songs that the cantaor has been listening to since childhood. It is a tribute and a review of eternal songs performed by other great artists such as Alameda, Junco, Rocío Jurado, Los Chichos, Triana, Raphael, Pepe Pinto and others.

The concert at the El Batel Auditorium is an opportunity for the youngest to discover mythical songs from the popular and flamenco imagination, through the voice and personal filter of Paco Candela, who has followers of all ages and from all over the country.

Tickets are available at the box office of the auditorium and on the website auditorioelbatel.es

The artist started in the music world when he was only 7 years old when he started his first songs. She spent a few years as a soloist in the San Ildefonso Dance Group in her hometown, later introducing herself to Flamenco by participating in the first competitions and exchanges with peñas. It was the start of a fledgling career that promised to be unstoppable and it has always been that way through the years, always connected to Flamenco.

This Christmas, the cantaor recorded a Christmas carol to allocate the proceeds to the CRIS Contra el Cáncer foundation to unite in the fight against Ewing’s sarcoma.
