La Plata, Biznaga, Marcelo Criminal, Airbag, Margarita Quebrada, Mediapunta, Rufus T. Firefly, Paco Moreno and Pedriñanes 77 are some of the national and regional artists who will tour Murcia
Microsonidos returns this year 2023 with a 16th edition that will offer more than 40 concert evenings and more than fifty bands with different regional and national names. Spectrum, REM, Musik, La Yesería and Ítaca, a new addition, are the five venues in Murcia that will participate in this edition starting in February.
There will also be concerts at the Víctor Villegas Auditorium, the Párraga Center and the Mister Wirr Café in Cartagena. The actions of the collaborating councils have yet to be determined: Mazarrón, Cieza and the Municipal Council of Santiago and Zaraiche, repeating themselves for another year as allies of the musical cycle.
The organization claims that after 15 years, Microsonidos is “a benchmark for the Iberian music industry”. «We highlight the most representative of the national scene, without forgetting international bands like The Speedways or Kurt Baker. And we emphasize once again the local product, in continuous confirmation as a reference in the music of this country.
A novelty of this edition are the ‘Musical Appetizers’ which will be held at Locoloco Vintage, a ‘vintage’ clothing store located in the center of Murcia. “A new bet in the city that accommodates fashion, music, literature, cinema… and where we can taste acoustics while enjoying the atmosphere, good conversation, friends and a drink,” underlines the statement of Microsonidos .
This year’s programming features established names on the national stage as well as new names. Among them Rufus T. Firefly, La Plata, Biznaga, Airbag, Luis Brea, Margarita Quebrada, Otto, Mediapunta, Jamie 4 President or You will see. And of course artists from the Murcia region such as Marcelo Criminal, Los Astronomos, Higinio, Pedriñanes 77, Nacho Para and Las Wonder.
In Ithaca, new this year, the most intimate performances take place: Flores, Paco Moreno and Fermi. Also special are the performances in Mister Wirr Café: Bloody Black Soul (a remake of Ferroblues – blues, soul and funk from the 20th century – played by the former members and other bands) and the acoustic concert of Lichis.
The organization appreciates the support of the Ministry of Culture through the ‘Somos Festivales Región de Murcia’ brand, which has increased financial support to the Institute of Cultural Industries of the Arts (ICA) since last year and the sponsorship of Estrella from Levante.
