The bassist will take advantage of his main group’s concert at the Enrique Roca stadium to offer a second, more intimate performance, at the Garaje Beat Club room
Iron Maiden’s highly anticipated concert at Murcia’s Enrique Roca Stadium on July 20 won’t be the only gig the British band’s leader and founder Steve Harris plans to hold in the city. The bassist will also give a concert for British Lion, his parallel project, the day before, July 19.
The event, which will be the only date in Spain, will take place in the Garage Beat Club space and will be supported by Airforce as a host group. Tickets are already on sale for a price of 25 euros plus expenses via the website of the promoter Resurrection Fest.
The British Lion concert in Murcia offers Iron Maiden fans the rare opportunity to meet Steve Harris in the privacy of a room. As Harris confessed at the start of the year, before embarking on a small UK tour, this second line-up allows him to “play in small clubs and have a closer and more personal connection with the audience”.
British Lion is moving away from the heavy metal of its main band to explore the sounds of classic ’70s hard rock, with clear influences from The Who and UFO, albeit under a more contemporary lens. After a successful debut in 2012, his second album ‘The Burning’ was released in 2020.
