The Murcian shares shortlist in the penultimate run of the San Isidro Fair with Talavante and Escribano
Murcian bullfighter Rafael Rubio ‘Rafaelillo’ returns to Las Ventas, where he has not done the paseíllo since 2019. Most notable is Rafaelillo’s return to the Pamplona Arena after the serious catch in that square on July 14, 2019, which was out of the ring for more than a year, until his return to Jaén on March 27, 2021. Murcian returns on Sunday, 10 July back to Pamplona with bulls from La Palmosilla and completes the poster Manuel Escribano and Leo Valadez. The other bullfighter in the region that has a place in these Sanfermines is Paco Ureña from Lorca, who will perform in the bullfight on Wednesday 13 July in one of the star posters of the fair, with bulls by Victorino del Río, and Miguel Ángel Perera and Roca Rey as partners.
In the bullfight that opens the fair, on July 5, the bullfighter of Totana Jorge Martínez, who won the position after passing Seville and Madrid, will perform. Martínez will fight Pincha’s oxen along with Isaac Fonseca and Álvaro Alarcón.
