Three bullfights with figures, rejones and a bullfight at the Murcia Fair

Date:

The first bullfight will be held on Monday September 12, with a great poster consisting of El Juli, José Mari Manzanares and Alejandro Talavante

Following the suspension of the 2021 Murcia Fair due to capacity restrictions due to Covid, the La Condomina bullring will reopen its doors to celebrate bullfights, two years after the last fair was held. From Sunday 11 to 18 September there will be five festivities.

The fair opens with a bullfight with pickaxes, a celebration that has recovered from the last funfair, in which the bullfighter of Totana Jorge Martínez will play a special role, who will make his presentation as a bullfighter with pickaxes in the Plaza de Murcia . Utreros from Núñez de Tarifa will fight and the list of novilleros is completed by two other right-handers from Murcia, Fran Ferrer and Parrita.

The first bullfight will be held on Monday September 12 with a great poster consisting of El Juli, José Mari Manzanares and Alejandro Talavante. The winning cattle of the last fairs in Murcia, that of Daniel Ruiz, will attract the bulls that afternoon

On Pilgrimage Tuesday, September 13, a flashy bullfight is announced, in which three bullfighting figures of the size Morante de la Puebla, Paco Ureña and Roca Rey will perform, featuring bulls from Núñez del Cuvillo.

The fair will resume this weekend, with the return two decades after the bullfighting of Victorino Martín, with the same poster already announced last year that could not happen: the heads-up between Rafaelillo and Antonio Ferrera, who will celebrate his 25th this year anniversary of alternative. On Sunday the 18th, the bullfight will finalize the entry, with bulls from the Espartales ahead of Sergio Galán, Diego Ventura and the Frenchwoman Lea Vicens.

The poster of the fair is the work of Javier de Juan, a painter from Linares, although he lives in Madrid, with a long history. At the award ceremony, businessman Ángel Bernal was accompanied by the president of the regional assembly, Alberto Castillo, and the president of the press association, Juan Antonio de Heras.
