Minister of Social Affairs and Health Johannes Rauch (Greens) has spoken out in favor of continuing the black-green coalition in Tyrol. Certainly in times of “several crises” a “stable black-green coalition” is needed.
After the state elections of September 25, one must therefore “build confidence” in the previous coalition, Rauch said on Tuesday during a visit to Tyrol in Innsbruck.
“Established Government Coalition”
Rauch not only used what he saw as a successful collaboration between the ÖVP and the Greens in Tyrol as an argument to continue the coalition, but also ventured a look at his home state of Vorarlberg. “I experienced there that black and green is a good model and that you can also make progress with them,” says Rauch.
In any case, a “established government coalition” will be needed in Tyrol in the future, the minister continued.
“The social situation is deteriorating”
In any case, this political “alignment” is hugely important, both at the state and federal levels. “We are currently dealing with issues such as inflation, rising heating costs and rents,” he mentions some points for attention. The social situation “is currently getting worse,” Rauch said. That is why “effective measures” are needed quickly.
At the state level, Rauch wanted Tirol to intervene with a “regulatory price cap” on the rents.
