The unitary concentration is being celebrated shortly after the act organized by the Catalan National Assembly (ANC) in front of the Palau de la Generalitat, which erected a wall of ballot boxes to demand the 1-O referendum.
According to the Guàrdia Urbana, some 11,000 people will attend the unitary concentration this afternoon called for by the independence movement at the Arc de Triomf in Barcelona to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the unilateral referendum on 1-O.
The former President of the Parlament Carme Forcadell took part in the act, followed by the convening organizations, and in the closing of the former President of the Generalitat Carles Puigdemont.
Under the slogan “let’s defend October 1, let’s win independence”, the rally’s manifesto bets on the validity of the results of the illegal 1-O referendum and states that they can only be revoked by “votes” of the citizens of Catalonia.
The unitary rally is held shortly after the act staged in front of the Palau de la Generalitat by the Catalan National Assembly (ANC), which erected a wall of ballot boxes to demand the 1-O referendum and proclaim that “unity in the street” against the “division” within the government.
