Four of these eight border crossings are located in Euskal Herria: the Hendaye pedestrian freight bridge, the Izpegi crossing, the Aldude crossing and the Larrain crossing.

The Working Community of the Pyrenees (CTP) today held its 40th Plenary Council in Arantzazu (Oñati), currently chaired by Euskadi. Lehendari Iñigo Urkullu chaired the plenary council and representatives of the governments of New Aquitaine (Alain Rousset), Navarre (Ana Ollo), Occitania (Yann Hélary), Catalonia (Meritxell Serret), Aragon (José Luis Pinedo) and Andorra (Maria Ubach).

As the final point of the plenary meeting, the Council approved the Arantzazu Declaration, in which they expressed, among other things, their disagreement with the closure of eight border crossings in the Pyrenees for more than a year and committed themselves to a trans -Pyrene cooperation protocol for the promotion of renewable hydrogen.
