This year, the Sabino Arana Foundation awarded the Sabino Arana prize to the solidarity movement Euskadi-Ukraineto the archaeological team that the “Hand of Irulegi”to the politician and president of “Georgian Dream”, Irakli Kobakhidze; until Bilbao Symphony Orchestra (BUNCH); to the Traumatology and Orthopedic Surgery specialist, Michael Sanchez; and the association for help and care for people with cerebral palsy Aspace Gipuzkoa.
The president of the Sabino Arana Fundazioa, Mireia Zarate and Ignacio Etxeberria, secretary of the entity, announced the Sabino Arana 2022 Awards this morning at a press conference at the headquarters in Bilbao.
The Sabino Arana Fundazioa Awards are presented annually in January to mark the anniversary of the birth of the founder of Basque nationalism, and recognize personalities, institutions or groups that stand out for their ability to be of service to society.
The delivery ceremony will take place on January 29 at the Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, starting at noon.
