A mayor of Upper Austria is now being scolded for putting a sticker from a controversial online broadcaster, which stood out as a mouthpiece for controversial theories in Corona times, on the car.
Gallspacher mayor Dieter Lang sparked heated debate with a sticker on the rear left of his car. The liberal advertises the controversial broadcaster “Auf1”.
“This is a mouthpiece for the Corona deniers, a platform for absurd conspiracy theories. Facts are distorted and fears are stirred up in unspeakable diction. That a mayor of the FPÖ sticks a sticker of this online broadcaster on his car and thereby identifies himself with his messages , is unacceptable,” said Anne Sophie Bauer (Greens), member of the state parliament.
Long left a request from “Krone” unanswered. But Blue Secretary of State Michael Gruber responded very well: “It’s about a sticker on a private vehicle. We don’t engage in such ridiculousness. We address the real problems of the population and don’t bother with such embarrassing attempts at change. ”
