The European Parliament recommends investigating ETA’s crimes as crimes against humanity

The Socialist Group in the European Parliament warned in the amendment phase that: current regulations do not allow crimes against humanity to be considered crimes prior to that year, and so the National Court had confirmed. “We understand perfectly the victims’ allegations in this sense, but we must promote respect for the law and be aware of the impossibility of retroactive application of the application of crimes against humanity,” said socialist deputy Cristina Maestre .
