An action by a Carinthian municipal politician caused a lot of head shaking. The mandatary is said to have cast his vote twice in the state elections in Carinthia.
Elections are often confused in St. Jakob im Rosental. Two years ago, in the municipal and mayoral elections, the ballots suddenly disappeared from 52 voting cards distributed in the village (we reported). Mayor Guntram Perdacher had to inform the police and election authorities. Despite the many interrogations, nothing came of it.

The next curious incident occurred on Sunday during the state elections: a municipal official is said to have voted twice (!). “The politician ticked the ballot both on the day of the primaries and on Sunday,” confirms the “Krone”. “Since it was apparently left unchecked on primary election day, it went ahead and was noticed too late.”
