A former ÖVP councilor of Hallein is said to have had a steep career thanks to the help of Salzburg governor Wilfried Haslauer.

In February 2011, Wilfried Haslauer – at that time still the deputy of LH – received an e-mail from ÖVP party friend Christian Stöckl. He was then mayor of Hallein. Subject of the explosive message: “Intervention Georg Angerer”.
According to research by the online platform zackzack.at, Stöckl asked for help. With Haslauer’s help, Angerer should therefore be given the position of director of the Salzburg state police – or another “A-post in the police or in the state/BH”. the interior in 2011.
Haslauer’s confidante promised speedy help
A close confidant of Haslauer answered the email and promised support. “Dear Christian, we are in discussion with our Home Secretary’s Office regarding your legitimate concerns […]”It literally says. Haslauer’s supposed help was useless, Angerer didn’t get the mail.
Further attempts to get a job as a senior civil servant also failed – apparently despite Haslauer’s newfound support. In 2016, Angerer finally became head of the Salzburg Office for the Protection of the Constitution. At that time, Wilfried Haslauer was already the governor.
Former alderman has a new career plan
The former alderman has had a new career plan since February of this year. Georg Angerer would like to become a district head in Tennengau – the “Krone” reported about his application. All those involved declined to comment on the current cause.
