This is how the pact between PNV and PSE-EE will affect the mayors of Euskadi

Date:

These are the cities whose mayorship is in the hands of PNV or PSE-EE on the basis of the agreement between the two formations.

The PNV will rule in at least 81 municipalities in the Basque Country and the PSE-EE in 12, with an absolute majority, alone or by virtue of the board agreement achieved between the two formations. In this way, jeltzales and socialists would take over the governments of as many as 93 of the 251 cities in the CAV.

In Álava, for example, the PNV will govern with an absolute majority in 18 municipalities, while it will have two other mayors with the support of the PSE. For its part, the Socialist Party will take over a municipal council with an absolute majority, and another one thanks to the agreement with the jeltzale formation.

In Bizkaia, the PNV has won an absolute majority in 38 municipalities and, thanks to the agreement with the socialists, could have a mayor in 14 others. As for the PSE-EE, they will have the mayorship in one municipality with an absolute majority and in three more with jeltzale support.

In Gipuzkoa, the PNV will govern with an absolute majority in three cities, and in another six with the PSE-EE, while two municipalities will have Socialist mayors with an absolute majority and another four on the basis of the administrative agreement with the PNV.

However, Jeltzales and socialists would also need the support of the PP in cities such as Vitoria-Gasteiz, Durango, Getxo and Oyón.

These are the municipalities in which the PNV and PSE-EE have an absolute majority (excluding those in which one of the two formations already has it alone) and which party wins the office of mayor:
