Esquerra Republicana and EH Bildu present in coalition for the Senate elections on 23J

ERC and EH Bildu announced on Thursday that they will present themselves in a joint electoral coalition for the Senate elections on 23 July under the name ‘Left for Independence’. In this way they will give continuity to the parliamentary group that formed both formations in this legislature.

“Today, ERC and EH Bildu, the Basque and Catalan pro-independence and left-wing sovereignists, stand before the Basque and Catalan people with a pledge to make every effort to respond to what our peoples want, need and demand “, as they stated in a joint statement by both parties.

In this way, they have indicated that they will ratify and strengthen “ties not only between our parties, but also between our nations”. The leaders of both parties have decided to contest the senate elections in Catalonia and the Basque Country with the same ballot. State Spanish that remain open in our cities.

“That all the votes we get, all the trust placed in us, has meant that our deputies and senators have been decisive throughout this legislature.
