The SPÖ has been heavily rebuilt. The new party leader Andreas Babler will come up with his ideas on Tuesday. That could be done with a salty female power on stage. Erich Vogl, journalist from the domestic politics “Krone”, explains in a conversation with Tanja Pfaffeneder which women are already being speculated about.
The SPÖ is becoming broader and more modern. That’s what you assume. “You don’t hear much news in terms of content,” says Krone journalist Erich Vogl. “Andreas Babler will continue to polarize the far left, that’s for sure.”
SPÖ young star Julia Herr is traded as the new federal manager. The climate spokeswoman supported Babler in the internal election campaign. Eva-Maria Holzleitner could take over the parliamentary club. “Regardless of the election campaign between Hans Peter Doskozil and Andreas Babler, the two women generally played an important role,” says Vogl.
Not only the SPÖ is causing excitement. The sale of Kika/Leiner by the Tyrolean investor René Benko is also being scrutinized. The new owners plan to file for bankruptcy on Tuesday. Taxpayers also lose money in the process.
“Benko is a dazzling character who has been around for years,” says Erich Vogl. “Anyone who observes their life path also knows their business models. Benko is minding his business.”
