Next Monday, on the eve of the General Policy Debate in Parliament, the keys to the intervention by Lehendakari Inigo Urkullu. Among them, the Lehendakari will discuss the matter self-government. Urkullu believes that although it has not been possible to reach an agreement, what was achieved in the presentation will form the basis for future consensus.
The Lehendakari will also be critical of the actions of some courts against the Basque in the last year.
In the same way, the Lehendakari will denounce the existing ways of eroding Euskadi’s self-government, because on the one hand, according to Urkullu, the Spanish state regulates matters that fall under the responsibility of Euskadi, and on the other hand the constitutional Court harms autonomous powers.
In the public policy It will refer to policies to increase the birth rate by 10%, the consumption of renewable energy by 20% or the emancipation of young people.
Regarding the announced laws, Urkullu will emphasize that the Basque Parliament has approved 35 in this term, and 7 of the 10 with the support of some opposition group. The Lehendakari believes that this consensus demonstrates the will of the Basque government. For this reason, they will express their gratitude to the political groups that have given them this support.
