The date of the congress was announced by Iturgaiz himself on Wednesday in a speech to the Basque PP Board of Directors, which was attended by the Deputy Secretary of the Territorial Organization of the Popular Party, Miguel Tellado.

The organizing committee of the congress that will appoint Iturgaiz’s replacement will be chaired by Álava PP president Iñaki Oyarzabal and will take place on November 4 in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
