Mikl-Leitner spreads – “Greens consciously create problems for people”

Date:

Lower Austrian Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner (ÖVP) made it very clear in the krone.tv interview: “The Greens have tunnel vision on their party program.” Co2 pricing is “grossly negligent” and hurts people. However, the state governor is calm about Karl Nehammer’s citizen video. Just like her deputy Udo Landbauer’s (FPÖ) demand for a speed limit of 150 or the planned mandatory use of German in schoolyards: “I want to concentrate on the essentials,” she tells Conny Winiwarter.

For Mikl-Leitner, “the essential” is a relaxation of credit guidelines. “Anyone who prevents people from buying their own home will have to deal with me.” The enemy has a name: the Financial Market Authority (FMA). Another thorn in the governor’s side are the Greens – and their CO2 tax.

“Co2 tax is gross negligence!”
According to forecasts, fuel prices will continue to rise. Co2 pricing is probably the rather inedible icing on the cake here – and is putting further pressure on the stock markets. “The Greens are harming all commuters,” says Mikl-Leitner, expressing her anger. In addition, the tax also has consequences for transport routes. “And then even higher prices will follow,” she warns.

Is there a speed limit of 150 on the highways in Lower Austria?
Mikl-Leitner also has little appreciation for Udo Landbauer’s current proposal to introduce a speed limit of 150 on the highways in Lower Austria: “It is the wrong time to discuss speed limits.” Considering all the other major issues in Lower Austria, such as healthcare, affordable housing and childcare, they simply find the debate ‘inappropriate’.

“Schnitzelbonus” in October
Mikl-Leitner also considers the controversial obligation to speak German in schoolyards or the idea that housing subsidies are linked to knowledge of German to be insignificant: “For me these are just two very minor points.” the government program. What will definitely come in October: the pub bonus.

In the video above you can see what Mikl-Leitner thinks of the Chancellor’s citizen video and whether voters should trust Karl Nehammer when he says he will not form a coalition with Herbert Kickl.
