The EITB Focus macro survey of February 2024 concludes that the majority votes among the Basque population regarding the regional elections that will take place in the spring are worrying and indifferent.
When asked how they feel about the upcoming CAV elections, 20% of respondents say they feel indifference, while 18.3% are concerned.
According to the analysis of EITB Focus microdata carried out by Silván & Miracle, this feeling of concern prevails among PNV voters (21.6% chose this answer).
The underlying mood among EH Bildu voters is therefore hope (25.5%), in line with the coalition’s expectations regarding the election call.
The PSE-EE voter, in turn, moves between concern, indifference and hope.
In contrast, Elkarrekin Podemos voters mainly feel indifference (34.3%), which, according to Silván & Miracle’s analysis, “speaks to us about dissatisfaction and disconnection” towards their voters.
29.2% of the PP electorate sees the election call with hope. Finally, Vox voters say they fear this election.
