The Russian foreign minister clearly warns against “consequences” and according to the news channel CNN, even US government circles say there are fears of retaliation. The chief of foreign policy of the “Kronen Zeitung”, Kurt Seinitz, openly asks the question: “What are the Americans up to?”. “In an escalation, all fuses can blow, the question is who does it first,” says Seinitz.
Finland and Sweden join NATO: ‘It can’t be stupid’
The fact that Finland and Sweden are now also joining NATO as a result of the war is particularly bitter for Russian President Vladimir Putin: “He wanted less NATO at the border and he is now getting more NATO at the border.
