This figure is very similar to that of the last election, only 0.19% higher. The previous data, that of participation at 1 p.m., was 26.9%, four points higher than in 2021.
Participation in the Catalan elections stands at 45.80% with data up to 6 p.m., 0.19% more than in the 2021 elections, according to data from the Generalitat. It is therefore a number almost equal to the number registered in the 2021 elections, when at that time 45.61% of citizens had exercised their right to vote.
According to the Generalitat website, which reports the day’s data, 2,452,073 voters have voted as of 6 p.m., compared to the 2,448,922 people who did so in the previous election.
The province with the highest participation so far is Barcelona, with 46.22% (+0.41 points), followed by Girona, with 45.83% (-1.16), Tarragona, with 44.05% (+1.28), and Lleida, with 43.33% (-2.62).
