After twelve years at the head of the Basque government, Urkullu will hand over the makila of command to his successor at the Gernika Board House next Saturday.
The lehendakari, Inigo Urkulluwill preside over his last government council and his last official act in Lehendakaritza next Tuesday.
Like every Tuesday the government council It will take place between approximately 10am and 12pm, and a few hours later Urkullu will preside over his final appearance as Lehendakari at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Basque Government in Vitoria-Gasteiz. This last official event will consist of the traditional front desk to the people who will participate in the ‘Cooperating Basque Youth Program’.
And on Wednesday, his last public act before the investiture session of his successor, probably also the jeltzale Imanol Pradales, will be the laying of the foundation stone of the new Arrasate health center.
Finally, after attending the inauguration session on Thursday, next Saturday at the Gernika Assembly House, he will witness the inauguration and swearing-in of the new lehendakari, to whom he will hand over the makila of command.
