As a result of the recalculation, the AfD loses its blocking minority in the country.
On Sunday, the AfD achieved a historic result in the state elections in Thuringia as the clearly strongest party and in Saxony as the second strongest party, each with more than 30 percent.
Protests in Hamburg
After the state elections in Saxony and Thuringia, hundreds of people took to the streets in Hamburg on Sunday evening against the AfD. Under the motto “Whether Thuringia or Hamburg: Not a foot for the AfD!” About 750 people set off from the starting point at the Reesendamm Bridge.
