Republican US vice presidential candidate JD Vance spoke of a “true miracle” during a meeting at the site of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. “I am convinced that God saved President Trump’s life that day.”
The 40-year-old senator said this this weekend in front of thousands of Trump supporters in the town of Butler, Pennsylvania. “Here, almost three months ago, we thought President Trump was going to lose his life. But God still has a plan for him – just like he still has a plan for the United States of America.”
As reported, an assassin shot former President Trump at a campaign event in Butler in mid-July. The 78-year-old was injured by a bullet in his right ear. One visitor was killed and two others were injured. The perpetrator was subsequently killed by security forces. On Saturday, both Trump and the US vice presidential candidate traveled to the scene.
“Eighty-four days ago, a murderer tried to strike fear into our hearts on this field. But today we stand here to make it clear: we will not be intimidated. We will not be held back. We will not allow ourselves to be silenced. “We will make America great again – together,” Vance is convinced.
At the election campaign show they received support from Tesla owner Elon Musk, among others.
