The Lehendakari has also criticized EH Bildu for wanting to close the budget debate in Euskadi before opening it. Despite this reluctance, Pradales has left the door open: “If his approach is honest, the doors of Ajuria Enea will be open,” said the Lehendakari.
The lehendakari Imanol Pradales has expressed his “doubts” about this proposal by EH Bildu to reach a global budget agreement. “I don’t know if this corresponds to the responsibility of the country or to political tactics,” he indicated. The Lehendakari has asked for facts and despite reluctance, he has left the door open.
In his speech, the Lehendakari recalled that he had held a round of meetings with the parties, during which he met with EH Bildu on June 15, and that he had presented them with a document that included these issues that day. “Today, three months later, you are raising the same issues. I accept it with good eyes, we made a proposal with good intentions, yours leaves us with doubts,” he said.
Pradales has indicated that EH Bildu’s proposal “shows little respect for the institutional structure of this country”, by asking the Lehendakari something that affects the deputations: “The proposal undermines the feeling of the community that you yourself claim to defend, because it is a vertical imposition on all institutions,” he indicated.
The Lehendakari has also criticized EH Bildu for wanting to close the budget debate in Euskadi before opening it.
Despite this reluctance, Pradales has left the door open: ‘We will see in the coming weeks whether the facts accompany the words he said here today, there will be different occasions such as the Health Pact or the budgets. If his approach is fair, the doors of Ajuria Enea will be open.”
