According to reports in the US media, the transition team of new US President Donald Trump is preparing to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement. In addition, some nature reserves are being reduced to allow for more drilling and mining.
As the New York Times reports, Trump is also expected to approve new terminals for natural gas exports and revoke an exemption that allows California and other states to implement stricter pollution standards.
Some people on the transition team continue to discuss moving the Environmental Protection Agency headquarters from Washington, the report said, citing people involved in the discussions.

Trump had already withdrawn from the Paris climate agreement during his presidency from 2017 to 2021.
