Linz FPÖ mayoral candidate Michael Raml is making people sit up with an explosive initiative: he wants to turn the airport in Hörsching into an Austrian repatriation hub. A separate terminal for returns will even be built for this purpose – the “Krone” knows the plans.
“Hörsching Airport has ideal transport connections and offers great opportunities with its military-civil infrastructure,” explains Raml. “The current boom at the airport thanks to Ryanair flights shows how important this hub is. Why not use this momentum to advance a project that is relevant not only economically, but also in terms of security policy? His goal is clear: criminal asylum seekers and people without residence rights must leave the country more quickly.
