Disrespectful message? – After the death of Androsch: outrage about 2 local politicians

Date:

There is excitement in Altaussee, where Hannes Androsch, who died at the age of 86, lived and invested a lot: two municipal councilors posted an ambiguous photo on WhatsApp. They reject the allegations “in the strongest possible terms”.

He was a visionary, generous supporter and always a welcome guest at the tables of the local regulars: Hannes Androsch and “his” Altaussee residents were bound together in respect and friendship. At the foot of the loser there is great sadness for the ‘salt baron’, who died at the age of 86, who was involved in salt mining, owned the luxury hotel Mayrlife and built a gondola lift.

And so on Wednesday evening during the municipal meeting in Altaussee, at the initiative of Mayor Gerald Loitzl (ÖVP), the deceased politician was remembered and a minute’s silence was held. Two city council members, who are considered sharp critics of the industrialist, are said to have initially behaved “disrespectfully”, but in any case rose from their seats on behalf of the deceased.

“I can only distance myself from it”
However, after the meeting there was a big scandal: the politician posted a photo of Leopold Figl presenting the state treaty on their WhatsApp profiles. Although there was no comment, many shocked residents of Altaussee immediately heard the words of the legendary Chancellor: “Austria is free.” Clear outrage in Altaussee!

“If the two of them had turned the saying into Hannes Androsch, it would be condemned in the strongest possible terms,” says local boss Loitzl angrily. “I can only distance myself from it!”

The ‘Krone’ reached the municipality by telephone and confronted him with WhatsApp. He “strongly” rejects accusations that the post was published on his private channel: “Anyone who says otherwise about me will be charged!”
