Newly elected US Vice President JD Vance threatens the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas with consequences if it does not reach an agreement with Israel. As examples, he cited “very aggressive sanctions” and “financial penalties for anyone who supports terrorist organizations in the Middle East.”
The “job of American leadership” will really be done, said JD Vance – just as future US President Donald Trump did during his first term from 2017 to 2021 (see video above).
As reported, Trump threatened Hamas hostage takers with “hell.” The hostages should be back with their families by the time he is sworn in on January 20. If that doesn’t happen, “it won’t be good for Hamas, and frankly it won’t be good for anyone.”

New agreement in sight?
The Trump camp is “hopeful” that a deal will be reached between Hamas and the Israeli government in the coming days, JD Vance said. Security consultant Mike Waltz expressed similar sentiments. Hamas is now “completely isolated” and after Trump comes to power, the deals will be worse than the current ones.
According to Israeli media reports, a three-phase plan has been drawn up. In the first phase, more than thirty “humanitarian cases” among the hostages will be released, followed by young men and armed forces. The third phase aims to rebuild the destroyed Gaza Strip and provide an alternative administration for the coastal strip.
“Israel desperately wants the hostages released and is working hard to reach an agreement. We’ll soon know if the other side also wants a deal. We hope to see progress in the near future,” said Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar. The Islamist Hamas is already preparing for the possible release of Palestinian prisoners. “We renew our commitment to our steadfast, patient people and to our heroic prisoners in prisons and affirm that their freedom will soon be achieved,” the report said.
There are still 98 hostages in the coastal area, including dual Austrian-Israeli Tal Shoham. It is believed that at least a third of Hamas prisoners are already dead.
