Aitor Esteban declares himself “overwhelmed and grateful” that he was proposed to preside the PNV

The PNV bases vote in the first round of the EBB renewal process, which ends on 2 February. The name of Aitor Esteban was chosen in around thirty Batzokis, and the PNV spokesperson in the congress has thanked the support he received through the social network X.

Esteban wrote that he is “overwhelmed and grateful for the token of trust and support” and added that “it’s time for connection.”

This first round started on January 20 and so far the current president, Andoni Ortuzar, is the one who gets the most support from the territorial assemblies.

After this first round, the candidates who receive the support of at least three municipal organizations will continue to the second round, which will take place from 10 to 26 February. In this second phase, the president of the EBB and eight Burukides will be elected.

The territorial meetings will take place between 27 February and 26 March. In it, the representatives of each municipal organization, in the event of a mandatory vote, will present those who are designated in the second round. In the same way, the representatives of each territorial meeting, also with a mandatory voice, must vote in the national meeting, which will be held in the context of the general meeting, for those designated in their respective territory.

The IX General Meeting of the PNV, which will be held on March 29 and 30, will exclaim the new members of the EBB and approve the new documents that will determine the actions of the party for the coming years.
