In Poland, former Minister of Justice Zobigniew Ziobro has now been arrested because he did not voluntarily want to testify to a committee of inquiry. The 54-year-old had refused three times to appear in parliament.
The committee then applied for 30 days at the office of the public prosecutor. Zibro wrote on the X Platform that the committee of inquiry was illegal, and therefore it is not voluntary. The center-left government of this Donald Tusk had used this. It must be checked whether the PIS government, which was head of the country in 2015 to 2023, used the Israeli espionage software Pegasus to spy on political opponents.
In February 2024, the Attorney General said that the software was used from 2017 to 2023 to observe 578 people.
